It appears we may have another Tea Party on our hands! Only this time there will be no resulting tea leaf shortage. The race in Massachusetts over the late Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat is heating up and could have ramifications for the entire country. Dems in both Houses realize that if their darling Martha Coakley loses and they can’t get their monstrosity of a health care bill through in the next week, the bill could be dead altogether. Kennedy’s seat represents a filibuster-proof Democratic majority in the Senate. If Brown wins in Massachusetts, the Republicans have a 41 seat minority and with the party 100% unified in opposing Obama’s statist agenda, it spells serious trouble for Reid and his band of merry men.
Today’s polling is showing Brown with a 15% advantage over Coakley. There is a lot of buzz right now coming from the Hill about how fast this election would be certified and William Galvin, the Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, has stated that the election couldn’t possibly be certified faster than a ten-day time period. This amount of time is more than enough for the Democrats to push through a vote. Kennedy’s long time aide who took the interim seat has stated that he will be honoring Kennedy’s “legacy” by voting for the 2000+ page bill that no one on Capitol Hill has seemed to have read.
If you remember the neck and neck election in NY between Hoffman (R) and Owens (D) and the subsequent swearing-in of Owens before the certification of that vote, it is obvious the Dems are planning on playing games in Massachusetts. I find it amazing how, when there is a (D) at the end of the winners name, the plane is on the tarmac and waiting even before the last votes are cast. If there is an (R), they start digging through election law to find a way to stall. Back in October, 2007, when Nikki Tsongas (D, MA) won her seat, within two days of the poll closures she was already in D.C. and voting to overturn Bush’s veto on expansion of the SCHIP program. I’d say that sets an interesting precedent.
With Scott Brown leading in the polls and only a few days left, Barak Obama himself is traveling to Massachusetts to help ensure a Democratic victory. With Obama’s abysmal dip in poll numbers and the growing rancor surrounding his policies, I welcome his help. He will be an albatross around Coakley’s neck.
With a victory for Scott Brown,If the Democrats delay the passage of this seat to pass health care it will be a big FU to the people of Massachusetts and America. They are circling the wagons at this point but they must be able to see we Indians outnumber them 320,000,000 to 535. At this point, considering they have yet to accomplish anything beyond spending trillions of dollars on nothing and extending unemployment insurance payouts, I think they will stop at nothing to get a victory, any victory, even if it means they lose control of both houses.
It’s not to late, volunteer your time to help elect Scott Brown. There are only 4 days left but these next 4 days are the most important. People from all over the country are volunteering by making phone calls as part of his Call From Home Program.

It is always interesting — yet, maddening — to see how far the Dems/liberals are willing to go to force their “vision” on the people, even when those in the general populace in favor of that agenda are clearly in the minority. They have no shame.
And, aren’t they usually the ones complaining about conservatives/Republicans/religious people “forcing” their morality/policy/etc. down the throats of liberals/progressives? (I seem to be “/”-happy tonight.)

Their entire platform is based on an elitist double standard. I am never surprised by their hi jinx but it never ceases to amaze me when I see the lack of outrage on the part of the American People who think only watching NBC Nightly News is enough.
